GeoHealth Network Conference: Building capacity for Health geography
On April 30, 2019, we hosted over 100 delegates from 20 different institutions across North America. We came together to discuss progress in health geography across 9 different sub-niches.
1st Working group meeting and speaker series
On November 5th, 2018, we held our first working group meeting and speaker series, featuring a talk by Dr. Michael Widener (University of Toronto). We discussed career paths in health geography, common sub-niches, and graduate student concerns such as writing grants and scoping a thesis.
1st Workshop: Make Your First Map!
On October 1st 2018 we held out first workshop which taught the use of ArcGIS to create a map for first time users. The map data was focused on health boundaries, and taught the nested geographies if the Canadian census.
